Pastoral ministry is the ministry of guiding God's people and sharing the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ with the world. It includes providing spiritual direction, care, leadership, and service to others. This ministry encompasses both formal and informal interactions and is founded on sound doctrine and personal holiness.

I am Paul David Bravard, a follower of Jesus; called to support and minister to all people as one of the Pastors with First Friends Church of Marion, including the home-bound, hospitalized, and those in senior care. My leadership style is primary visionary leadership with coaching undertones, letting people wonder and discover while guiding, creating, and holding space with them.

I am ordained or, as Friends would say, a recorded Minister of the Gospel, and hold a Master's degree in Religion from Cincinnati Bible Seminary and a Master of Divinity (leveled) from Portland Seminary, and currently finishing a Doctor of Ministry... More Bio Stuff

Worship Ministry Director

Kiva Small

Kiva has a deep passion for worship, is deeply committed to her faith, and enjoys sharing her talents with others. She is truly grateful to have the opportunity to utilize her gifts within a loving church family. Alongside her duties within her congregation, Kiva also loves to dedicate her free time to assisting with leading worship at different women's conferences.


Apart from her spiritual pursuits, Kiva also has a creative side. She enjoys crafting, solving puzzles, and playing tabletop games. In fact, she finds that engaging in these activities helps her to relax and unwind after a long day.


During the day, Kiva works as a Client Service Manager at Northwestern Mutual. She is dedicated to her work and takes pride in providing excellent service to her clients. In her role, she is responsible for managing relationships with clients, helping to ensure that their financial needs are met, and providing guidance to them as needed. Despite her busy schedule, Kiva remains committed to her faith, her family, and her vocation.

Paul is a compassionate individual who has a deep passion for reaching out to those who are yet to establish a relationship with God. He has a strong calling to connect with individuals within his community and spread the message of the Gospel, which he firmly believes is "Good News" for all. 


Paul's approach is centered around sharing his personal testimony and highlighting the transformative power of faith in God. He is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of others by providing them with encouragement, hope, and guidance.
